I read `The Book with No Name' in two days and followed it up straight away with `The Eye of The Moon' and I have to say that I wasn't disappointed. If anything, this book was better than the first one simply because we found out the background to some of the main characters. Anyone who didn't come to love the Bourbon Kid must already be one of the un-dead! I love the complexity of plot and the way it goes back prior to the events of the previous book to explain the motivation of some of the characters. I also love that it doesn't lose any of its sense of humour - there are some seriously funny (albeit incredibly gory) moments. The only disappointment is that there is nothing to follow this up with. I'm hoping for a whole serious of books (Anne Rice style) just on characters such as the Bourbon Kid, Rodeo Rex, Elvis, Sanchez and Dante. I hope the anonymous author gives us another book soon - even if the Bourbon Kid et al. have been laid to rest!

the book with no name and the eye of the moon are two of the most amazing books i've ever read. They are full of black comedy, high-octane adventure, twists and turns that all contribute to a great horror-western, sci-fi........... Sod it, i can't put it in a particular genre, it's too unique. You liked TBWNN, then you'll love this. can't wait for the next one.

The Eye Of The Moon

The Eye Of The Moon is the RAWKING new sequel to The Book With No Name. Both these novels are rumored to have been written by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino and they certainly read like one of their movies!! This sequel doesn't disappoint and there is chaos and mayhem aplenty. If you loved The Book With No Name then you won't be disappointed in this second offering. You will though be disappointed in having to wait for a third installment! ;)
